Position Summary
Southern Air is seeking an experienced, career-minded Industrial Piping Foreman to lead field crews on industrial projects. This role is responsible for overseeing piping installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise piping crews to complete projects safely and on schedule
  • Read and interpret blueprints and P&ID schematics
  • Plan, assign, and coordinate daily and upcoming work activities
  • Oversee installation of industrial piping systems, including boilers, chillers, and cooling towers
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades on-site
  • Perform and oversee rigging of piping systems and heavy equipment
  • Ensure workmanship meets company standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain clear communication with project management and field teams
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial piping foreman role
  • Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&ID schematics
  • Experience with outages, rigging, and crew leadership
  • Proven ability to schedule work and manage crews effectively
  • Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, copper, and weld pipe
  • Knowledge of fitting take-offs for screw and weld fittings
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed
