Job description

Mechanical Piping Foreman – Hydronic Piping

Pay: $40–$45/hour + Overtime
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Foreman with strong hydronic piping experience to lead field crews on commercial and industrial mechanical piping projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate piping crews and subcontractors in the field.
  • Lead installation of hydronic piping systems, including chilled water, hot water, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical plans, piping drawings, isometrics, and specifications.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure piping installations are completed safely, accurately, and according to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project management, general contractors, other trades, and inspectors.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and project schedules.
  • Perform and oversee pressure testing, flushing, and system installation procedures.
  • Identify field issues and work with management to develop solutions.
  • Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite.
  • Train and mentor pipefitters and apprentices as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Piping Foreman or Lead Pipefitter.
  • Strong hands-on experience with hydronic piping systems.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial mechanical piping installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and piping plans.
  • Strong knowledge of pipe installation, fittings, valves, supports, and equipment connections.
  • Ability to lead a crew and effectively coordinate daily field activities.
  • Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA/Safety training is a plus.
  • Welding, brazing, or pipefitting experience is a plus.
