Job Title: Batwing Tractor Operator / Weedeater Pipeline Mowing
Job Location: San Augustine, TxJob Summary
The Batwing Tractor Operator / Weedeater Pipeline Mowing position is responsible for operating heavy mowing equipment and performing manual vegetation control along pipeline right-of-ways, easements, and surrounding work areas. This role helps maintain safe, clear, and accessible pipeline corridors by cutting grass, brush, and overgrowth in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a batwing mower tractor safely and efficiently to mow pipeline right-of-way areas.
  • Use a weedeater / string trimmer to trim around fences, signs, posts, trees, culverts, and hard-to-reach areas.
  • Maintain clear vegetation control along pipeline corridors, access roads, and surrounding work zones.
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment before use and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific requirements.
  • Work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and rough terrain.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, fueling, and basic upkeep of mowing equipment.
  • Identify and report hazards, damaged property, leaks, or unusual conditions to supervision immediately.
  • Maintain productivity while ensuring quality work and safe operation.
  • Complete daily work logs or job reports as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a batwing tractor or similar mowing equipment preferred.
  • Experience using a weedeater / trimmer in field or right-of-way environments preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding labor.
