Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying pipes for drainage, sewage, and other utility systems. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site. The Pipelayer will be responsible for ensuring that all pipe installations are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
  • Excavate trenches using hand tools or machinery to prepare for pipe installation.
  • Lay pipes in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper alignment and grade.
  • Connect pipes using various methods including welding, concrete forming, and other techniques as required.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, front loaders, and bulldozers to assist in the installation process.
  • Conduct regular inspections of installed pipes for quality assurance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations.
