Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipefitting, welding, and plumbing, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction site operations. This role involves working with various materials and tools to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler applications.
  • Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG welding for pipe assembly and repairs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems.
  • Perform pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging as required for installations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on existing piping systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout all work processes.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.

Experience

  • Proven experience in pipefitting or a related field such as construction or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and fire sprinkler fitting is preferred.
