Job description


U.S. Steel is seeking reliable and safety-conscious OCTG Premium Threaded Pipe Inspectors to join our team. This role involves various responsibilities within the manufacturing process of oil country tubular goods (OCTG), ensuring the quality and safety of the threaded pipes used in the oil and gas industry. As a Threaded Pipe Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting threads, inspecting accessories and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Must have Premium Threading Experience as an operator or inspector.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety objectives, policies, and procedures set by your department and company.
  • Conduct inspections as a Premium Thread Inspector, ensuring threads meet the required specifications.
  • Set up gages and maintain the condition of the gages
  • Perform inspections as an Accessory Thread Inspector.
  • Operate heavy forklifts for material handling.
  • Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness in your assigned work area.
  • Perform any additional duties or tasks as required by supervision.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay: $23.21 with advancement opportunities up to $35.06
