Material Handler II (Night shift)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Material Handler II to be based out of Tampa, FL. Reporting to Shift Lead. The Material Handler II will be responsible for packing finished goods, monitor products for defects, assist in the start-up or changeover of products and keep work area clean and organized.

What you’ll do:

Material Handler’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications
  • Update hour by hour boards and compare colors, shapes, textures or grades of products or material with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Operate and observe machinery during production, assist with Quality Control duties utilizing quality tools.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately

What you’ll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or general labor preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Pack and bundle PVC conduit per packaging standards
  • Learn about the PVC pipe manufacturing process from start to finish
  • Assist with quality control duties, including but not limited to monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and ensuring the product color is accurate.
  • Become forklift-certified
