Summary
Performs accessory installations in accordance with detailed instruction sheets, using company-approved tools and equipment. Works in a fast-paced production environment, consistently meeting established productivity and quality targets.
Responsibilities
Install port-installed options (PIO) on new vehicles, including items such as wheel locks, body side moldings, spoilers, roof racks, running boards, mud guards, and interior accessories
Perform basic electrical installations (e.g., harnesses, lighting, sensors, infotainment components) in accordance with OEM specifications
Read and interpret build sheets and OEM installation instructions
Meet daily production targets while maintaining OEM quality standards
Inspect vehicles before and after installation to ensure no damage and proper functionality of installed components
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently
Move vehicles within the work area as needed (if authorized/certified)
Maintain accurate documentation and status updates in the system (e.g., RO completion, parts usage)
Identify and report damaged parts, missing components, or quality concerns
Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and VPC operating procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready work area (5S standards)
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and quality teams regarding production or installation issues
Complete Installation using provided Instruction Sheet Use a scanner to scan in/out of vehicles receiving installs
Follow workflow as documented by Standard Work Instruction Sheets Communicate issues with Quality Control before leaving the vehicle Sign all required quality documentation after completing install
Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment
Follow all Glovis policies and procedures
Meet installation production goals
Assist in other departments as needed Drive customer vehicles
