Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles: This involves using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and your own expertise to pinpoint the source of the issue and determine the best course of action.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance: This includes tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Repair or replace parts: This could involve anything from brakes and suspension components to engines and      transmissions.
  • Test drive vehicles: This is done to ensure repairs are completed correctly and the vehicle is functioning properly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers: This involves explaining problems, outlining repair options, and providing      guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members: Mature, realistic, responsible communication between team members is a must.
  • Maintain accurate records: This includes documenting all repairs performed and parts used.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technologies: The industry is constantly evolving, so continuous learning is essential.
