Job description

Duties
Subcontractor will provide Project Engineering support and coordination for various projects across one but not limited to; Commercial, Infrastructure, Production Modernization, and/or Production Stockpile projects. Subcontractor will also provide Project Engineering support necessary to complete planning, design and implementation of new machine tools and/or infrastructure upgrades. Subcontractor will provide technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to other multi-disciplined engineering teams as requested for high profile plant initiatives and will appropriately apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities; plan and direct the engineering activities on projects; establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules; professionally coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel; and review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when required. The nature of many of these large expense-funded Production capability initiatives are such that they fall outside the conventional capital projects organization, need near-term attention, and require the coordination and integration of technical resources both internal and external to the ME organization. The Project Engineering group does not have the resources internally, nor are resources available full-time from other avenues to complete this work.
Education
BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited school in a technical discipline, plus 10 years or more of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 10 plus years of experience
Level 3 - BA/BS Degree plus 10-14 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 10-13 years of experience.
Level 4 - BA/BS Degree plus 15-20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 14-18 years of experience.
Level 5 - BA/BS Degree plus 20 years of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 19 years of experience.
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
Due to government and/or federal regulations for this position, proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
