As we continue to evolve and thrive, we are seeking a strategic and experienced HR Manager to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities of the Human Resources (HR) Department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and strategic goals.

Position Overview:

As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and direction of Petzl America's community and culture. Reporting to the CEO/President, and a valued member of the Leadership Team, you will manage all HR functions associated with Petzl America. The HR Manager is a key driver in shaping our company culture, managing talent acquisition from hire-to-retire, establishing a strong benefit package, and much more. This position is a key role that recognizes valued employees are the key to upholding company values and achieving annual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the CEO/President to formulate and administer successful policies and procedures
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Company's HR areas including monitoring annual goals, recruitment, employee relations, community culture, compliance and benefits, etc
  • Manage, record and house all personnel topics, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, terminations, and concerns regarding policies and procedures
  • Propose and organize company wide staff events to build culture and/or increase participation with financial or medical benefit options
  • Oversee benefit packages including renewal processes for financial and health benefits
  • Participate in the Leadership Team, which collectively strives for company efficiencies and a strong company culture
  • Petzl America is a small company and there may be times that you are asked to do tasks & duties outside the general scope of your job in order to achieve our company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with 2 years in management.
  • Deep understanding of HR practices, Utah labor laws, and employment regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR Certification highly preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Proven experience working within a leadership team.
  • Strong HR skills with the ability to translate complex information into terms general staff can understand.
  • Be the pinnacle of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Preferred System/Program Knowledge: SAP, SAP Concur, SalesForce, Power BI, Paylocity, Payscale, Isolved, MS Office, Google Suite.
