Maintenance Supervisor

Commons at Churchland - Chesapeake, VA

$500 HIRING BONUS

Burlington Capital Properties is currently accepting applications to be considered for a Maintenance Supervisor position at our Commons at Churchland housing community in Chesapeake, Virginia. We pride ourselves in the quality living experience we provide to our residents.

Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property and are the key to our top-notch resident relations! We are seeking a qualified individual who takes pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM with on-call rotation. Schedule to be discussed during interviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, supervise and perform maintenance and repair work as directed.
  • Supervise and perform standard apartment maintenance which could include painting, cleaning carpets and appliance repair.
  • Complete vacant units to make ready status per established standards.
  • Regularly inspect laundry facilities, common area rest rooms, etc. to ensure proper functioning, and clean common areas as needed.
  • Inspect and/or perform grounds maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
  • Continually monitor budgeted maintenance expenses.
  • Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
  • Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent field required.
  • HVAC certification required.
  • Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades is required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.
