Job description

Zachry Group is seeking an experienced Captain / Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its corporate aviation department based in San Antonio, Texas. This position is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft while providing exceptional service to executive passengers.

The Captain serves as the final authority for the aircraft and is accountable for all aspects of flight operations including regulatory compliance, flight planning, crew coordination, and passenger safety. This role operates within a Part 91 corporate flight department environment and requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to safety.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound aeronautical decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively within a small, team-oriented flight department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine privileges
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Valid U.S. Passport with the ability to travel internationally
  • Valid driver's license
  • English language proficiency

Flight Experience

  • 3,000 hours total flight time
  • 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • 150 hours instrument
  • 300 hours night
  • 1,000 hours turbine time

Additional Requirements

  • Experience operating multi-crew aircraft
  • Current or previous qualification in turbojet aircraft
  • Clean FAA, DOT, and DOJ records with no violations or deviations within the past seven years
  • Ability to reside within one hour of San Antonio International Airport (KSAT) or relocate accordingly
