Company Information:

Pike Construction Services is looking for Project Accountant I to join our growing team. The Project Accountant I supports the Operations Team with maintaining the accounting and processing procedures of the accounting records, invoices and billings associated with an assigned job.

 

Position Overview

The Project Accountant I supports the Operations Team with maintaining the accounting and processing procedures of the accounting records, invoices and billings associated with an assigned job.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for performing the verification, posts and controls of all subcontractor billings, payments and change orders.
  • Responsible for completing the verification, posts and controls of all change orders and posts budget changes to the job file.
  • Accountable to assist the operations personnel with the preparation and input of the original and changes to a project budget.
  • Responsible for assisting the Project manager of assigned job to ensure that monthly requisitions and cash flow is maintained and completed timely.
  • Accountable for processing and entering purchase orders into applicable software.
  • Responsible for processing vendor invoices (get approval if needed, enter and file) for the projects assigned.
  • Accountable for providing support to the operations personnel team in job forecasting.
  • Responsible for notifying operations personnel team and other applicable personnel of any potential issues or concerns.
  • Accountable for understanding and abiding by role, department and Company expectations pertaining to policies, procedures and all other applicable requirements.
  • Accountable to travel as business dictates and ability to accommodate a flexible schedule to meet workload needs.  
  • Responsible for performing other responsibilities/duties as assigned.

Education / Experience:

  • Associates' Degree from an accredited institution in related field; and/or minimum of 5 years' equivalent experience, required.
  • Construction Industry Experience, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, required.
