Job description

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Project Manager  to support and oversee pigging operations at the Flint Hills Pine Bend Refinery. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site pigging and decoking activities, including crew management, equipment readiness, and job execution. The Project Manager IS will ensure services are delivered in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, while maintaining high standards for safety, productivity, cost control, and operational reliability, and serving as the primary point of contact between the client, field crews, and branch management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Industrial 

POSITION LOCATED IN: Rosemount, MN

WORK SCHEDULE: Per client needs

TRAVEL: 5%-10%

  • Proven experience working in industrial or refinery environments, preferably supporting pigging, decoking, or similar mechanical services, but not essential
  • Hands-on mechanical experience performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, pumps (including Waterous or similar), and auxiliary equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage equipment, inventory, and job documentation.
  • Comfortable acting as a client-facing representative, providing updates and addressing issues professionally.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions in the field, and respond effectively to changing job conditions.

  • Lead and coordinate pigging operations at Flint Hills' Pine Bend Refinery, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, branch management, and field crews.
  • Plan and communicate crew schedules, job expectations, and daily work scopes.
  • Maintain, inspect, and service pigging equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on diesel engines and Waterous pumps as required.
  • Coordinate rental equipment and ensure all required assets are on site and functional.
  • Oversee equipment staging areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Manage on-site pigging equipment inventory and cleaning pig availability.
  • Complete and review job documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Prepare pigging/decoking reports for client delivery.
  • Enforce proper paperwork and documentation standards across the crew.
