They are responsible for inserting, monitoring, and removing 'pigs'—devices sent through pipelines to remove debris, inspect inner walls, or separate different products. Pigging Technicians ensure the efficient and safe operation of pipelines in industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, and food processing. Their work helps prevent blockages, maintain product quality, and ensure regulatory compliance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pigging technician?

To thrive as a Pigging Technician, you need a solid understanding of pipeline systems, mechanical aptitude, and typically a high school diploma or relevant technical certification. These skills and qualities are vital to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of pipeline infrastructure.
