Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and detail-oriented Professional Body Piercer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to safety and sterilization, exceptional customer service skills, and a genuine passion for helping clients express themselves through body art.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Part-Time
  • Schedule: 3 to 4 days per week (Must be available to work weekends and some holidays as needed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional body piercings utilizing standard industry techniques while ensuring maximum safety and precision.
  • Consult with clients on piercing placement, jewelry selection, and thoroughly explain aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain a pristine, sanitary workstation at all times in compliance with local health department regulations.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including the autoclave, ensuring all tools are properly processed and logged.
  • Provide exceptional, empathetic, and patient customer service to ensure a comfortable and anxiety-free experience for every client.
  • Assist with retail jewelry sales, inventory management, and general studio upkeep.
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional body piercing experience in a licensed studio. (A portfolio of your recent work is required).
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of anatomy, aseptic techniques, and cross-contamination prevention. Proven experience properly operating and monitoring autoclave sterilization equipment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess outstanding patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when dealing with nervous clients or complex questions.
  • Certifications: Must hold (or be willing to obtain/renew immediately) Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) certification, First Aid/CPR, and any local county health department permits.
