We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Safety & Security Officer to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team!
Reporting to the Director of Security you will manage and provide the highest degree of professional and courteous service while ensuring the safety and security of all guests, members, associates, visitors and protecting the resort's assets. The Safety & Security Attendant will monitor CCTV, fire life safety systems, and duress alarms and patrol all areas of the property.
Responsibilities
  • The Safety & Security Officer ensures the safety and security of all guests, members, team members, patrons, and visitors.
  • He/she will strive to provide the highest degree of professional and courteous service and protect and care for the assets of Pier Sixty-Six Resort and Spa.
  • Adhere to office policies set forth by security management.
  • Assist guests to their rooms or assist guests with entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain continual surveillance of resort areas, bordering property, and CCTV systems.
  • Always use proper radio etiquette
  • Respond to all incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all incident reports are completed accurately.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical, security, guest complaints, etc.
  • Control all keys within the guidelines established.
  • Check all packages and team member bags via the team member entrance/exit, or entrance of the parking areas.
  • Maintain awareness of all suspicious persons and escort them off the property if warranted.
  • Conduct rounds throughout the resort, paying attention to unsecure areas.
  • Receive and process all lost and found items as per procedures established.
  • Respond to all guest requests immediately.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Shift, Key Watcher, SALTO is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a luxury resort or equivalent.
  • Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma.
