Job description

Job Summary

The Drafter is responsible for providing overall drafting support on various projects for Aboveground Storage Tank products. This includes doing layout and design work, as directed by the engineering team.

Essential Functions

  • Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
  • Correct drawings from Engineering.
  • Pick-up red marks from the Checker.
  • Produce new drawings.
  • Perform basic layouts.
  • Work closely with project managers and the estimating team to ensure deadlines are met on time.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, as directed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ year’s construction-related drafting experience; or 4+ years general drafting experience.
  • Training in general drafting skills.
  • Training in AutoCAD and/or Inventor is required.
  • Knowledge of aboveground storage tank product lines and experience working with products is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of appropriate standards, i.e., API.
  • Understanding of general math and trigonometry functions.
  • General understanding of field construction and the ability to do complex layouts.
  • General computer knowledge.
