Job description

Overview:
ASR International Corp is seeking a contractor Picker/Receiver (Water Spider) to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for picking, receiving, material movement, and freight handling while ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the warehouse.
Location: 10575 Red Bluff Rd, Pasadena, TX 77507
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs
Contract Duration: up to 12 months, possibility of extension
Typical Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:
  • Perform picking and receiving transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Read and comprehend work instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Maintain basic written documentation and communication as required
  • Utilize basic math skills for inventory and material handling tasks
  • Operate a computer and perform basic PC-related functions
  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload freight
  • Support material movement throughout the warehouse as needed
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures

Qualifications/Required Skills:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of warehouse, receiving, picking, or related experience
  • Previous forklift operation experience required
  • Experience with receiving and picking transactions preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy warehouse environment
  • Have the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Be results driven with a keen eye for detail and being detail oriented.
  • Showing up consistently and on time.
  • Completing tasks accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Following through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
