The Retail Attendant at Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk has a passion for guest service, food, wine, and hospitality. You create memorable experiences through efficient, friendly, and team-based service while educating guests about our products, wines, and Wine Club. Pay Range: $15 - $18 per hour.  Pay offered is determined by skills, qualifications and experience.

How You Will Succeed

Show up ready: Come Prepared, stay sharp, and start strong.

• Arrive with a positive attitude, ready to greet and engage every guest warmly
• Maintain full knowledge of Piccolo Buco’s menu, retail items, wines, Wine of the Month, and Wine Club events
• Ensure your workstation is fully stocked, organized, and prepared for opening or mid-shift

Own what you see: Take Responsibility, jump in, and do what needs to be done.

• Keep the retail and tasting room areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Restock wine and merchandise promptly, ensuring displays are attractive and per standards
• Step in to assist with hosting, service assisting, or carryout/curbside orders when needed

Stay in sync: Communicate often, move with your team, and keep service flowing.

• Communicate clearly with teammates, Managers, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Follow all checklists and standard operating procedures for opening, mid-shift, and closing
• Handle cash and operate the POS system accurately and according to company standards

Make it personal: Be genuine, listen well, and tailor each experience.

• Build relationships with guests by engaging in friendly, genuine conversation
• Educate guests on our wines, tasting experiences, and Wine Club benefits, inviting them to join with confidence and enthusiasm
• Provide thoughtful recommendations for food, wine, and retail items based on guest preferences

Add a touch: Go beyond the expected to create memorable moments.

• Serve beverages and conduct tastings with attention to detail, presentation, and hospitality standards
• Recognize opportunities to upsell or recommend products that enhance the guest’s visit
• Go beyond expectations with small gestures that leave a lasting positive impression

What You’ll Need

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience in a casual dining, upscale dining, or retail sales environment preferred
• Wine knowledge or experience in a wine-focused environment preferred
• Positive attitude and strong sense of teamwork
• Comfort and enthusiasm in actively inviting guests to join the Wine Club
• POS system experience preferred
• Ability to stay active and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to read, understand and communicate in English
• Comfort working weekend, holidays and flexible schedules
