American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an IMC/PCU-Stepdown unit requiring telemetry, oncology, and vent/transplant experience along with a WI or compact RN license.
Details- Work across two IMC units: Acute Med/Progressive Care (D6/5) and Thoracic (B4/3)
- Care for telemetry, oncology, and cardiac patients in a PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting
- Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00pm-7:30am, Monday through Friday
- Every other weekend and some holidays required
- Floating required as needed across units
- Uses Epic EMR
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similarly sized hospital required
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
- Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator management and post-transplant care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including strict pass/fail criteria for lethal rhythm identification
- Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code team activation
- Perform IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Manage ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation
- Provide post-transplant patient care
- Located at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Travel experience required
