The Physician Assistant position is specifically set in our onsite surgical center, designed to promote efficient patient flow and provide a comfortable atmosphere for both staff and patients. This role is designed for full-time physicians looking to impact community health within the urgent care setting. Your shift will primarily be Monday through Friday, with a total of 40 hours per week ending at 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough physical examinations and detailed histories.
• Review and analyze medical records to guide diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies to assist in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute health conditions and illnesses, implementing evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans for patients with chronic conditions, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe and manage medications, closely monitoring their effectiveness and patient responses.
• Maintain thorough and organized patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure regulatory compliance and continuity of care.
• Provide patient education regarding diseases, treatment options, and preventive health measures to empower patients and their families.
• Oversee the overall health management of patients, promoting wellness and preventive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with medical research and advancements.

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient demographic ranging from children to adults experiencing urgent health issues. Our patient population frequently presents with conditions such as minor injuries, illnesses, and chronic disease exacerbations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care tailored to their specific needs, adhering to our standards of compassion and excellence.

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant and successful completion of the national certifying exam.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a clinic, hospital, ER, or urgent care environment.
• Robust knowledge of primary care and acute care protocols and treatment methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of safety regulations, patient care procedures, and quality assurance standards.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and a dedication to patient-centered care.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations, demonstrating patience and resilience.
• DEA certification is required prior to commencement.

• Experience in a fast-paced urgent care or emergency room setting, with a proven track record of effective patient management.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred) are an added advantage, enhancing communication with our diverse patient base.

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 150,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience.
