Dermacare Physiotherapy is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Urgent Care team in Miami, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our modern Urgent Care facility situated within a hospital setting, which provides us access to comprehensive diagnostic resources and collaborative healthcare services. You will work alongside experienced physicians, registered nurses, and various healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment that fosters teamwork and open communication. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts commencing at 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews, to accurately diagnose health conditions.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and radiological imaging, using findings to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans for patients exhibiting a range of acute illnesses, ensuring strategies are tailored to individual needs.
  • Prescribe medications as necessary, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure therapeutic effectiveness and adjust dosages accordingly.
  • Maintain precise and organized electronic health records (EHR), documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and communications to uphold compliance and continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies, fostering proactive health behaviors.
  • Facilitate patient referrals to specialty services as needed, coordinating care to enhance patient health outcomes.
  • Continually engage in professional development through research, training, and attending relevant healthcare seminars to remain current with best practices in urgent care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, comprising individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, all of whom seek timely intervention for acute illnesses and minor injuries. As a Physician Assistant in our urgent care setting, you will have the unique opportunity to impact patients' health through preventive care, education, and tailored treatment protocols.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited PA program is required.
  • Possession of a valid state license and successful completion of the national certifying exam for Physician Assistants.
  • Strong foundation in managing both primary and acute care, putting patient safety and satisfaction at the forefront of your practice.
  • Exceptional communication abilities to effectively interact with diverse patient populations and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare colleagues.
  • A commitment to ethical practice and a strong patient-centered approach in all healthcare interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, emergency room, or clinic settings, showcasing a well-rounded skill set.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and adherence to health regulations and standards.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while providing excellent care.
  • A DEA number is required for prescribing medication.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a health care plan covering medical, dental, and vision, a 401(k) retirement plan, generous paid time off including vacation and sick leave, family leave options, and both short-term and long-term disability coverage.
