Position Overview

Wellstar Physiotherapy is seeking dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapists to join our innovative home healthcare team in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing care in our clients' homes. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and administer physical therapy treatment plans with a focus on preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function.
  • Evaluate clients using diagnostic tools to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, and adjust care plans based on findings.
  • Collaborate with and oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective execution of therapy plans aimed at enhancing patient independence.
  • Conduct assessments of clientsโ€™ home environments and provide recommendations to support rehabilitation goals.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • React promptly to any changes in clientsโ€™ conditions, modifying treatment plans as necessary and communicating adjustments to physicians and case managers.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate treatment plans and share insights on patient care.
  • Instruct clients and their families on physical therapy protocols, including the correct use and upkeep of therapeutic devices.
  • Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed about the latest physical therapy techniques and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population consists of individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or requiring rehabilitation due to injuries. We focus on delivering personalized care plans that cater specifically to the capabilities and needs of each patient, ensuring an approach that enhances their independence and overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is required, with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
  • Well-versed in a variety of manual therapy techniques and able to design effective exercise regimens tailored to clientsโ€™ needs.
  • Aptitude for using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, to document client progress accurately.
  • Remaining current with advancements in physical therapy practice supported by the latest research.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in home health physical therapy or rehabilitative care settings is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in managing a caseload that reflects diverse patient backgrounds and therapeutic needs.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
