Application Engineer
Salary Range: $100k to $125k
Our client is urgently looking for direct hire an Application Engineer to sit in Hillsboro, OR; the ideal candidate for the role must be able to do the following
Application Service Engineering
  • Interfacing Reticle inspection Die to Database software development engineering team to provide a customer product diagnosis and possible problem solution of products.
  • Providing liaison between customer and applications programmer for customer requests involving change in applications.
  • Providing customer technical training including on-site training and generating best known method documents, application notes and other training materials.
  • Developing technical presentations and conducting demonstrations on products.
  • Assisting sales staff to prepare product specification and negotiating a customer's took purchase specifications.
  • Working together with field service engineers to give customer application support at customer site in timely manner, as well as an installation of products.
  • Building and maintaining customer satisfaction through clear and consistent communication and sharing collective knowledge.
Field Service Engineering
  • Receives service calls from customers. Determines customer need or problem and responds accordingly.
  • May provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to customer, may need to respond to emergency customer situation or may schedule and repair Company's products at customer site.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on Company products.
  • Establishes and manages a local maintenance service structure.
  • Inspects and evaluates customer usage of Company products.
  • Provides training to customers in usage and maintenance of Company products.
Requirements for the Role:
  1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar
  2. Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, Linux and other analysis software
  3. Knowledge of optics and wavelength
  4. User interfacing
  5. Previous work experience with semiconductor photomask inspection tools
