Job description

DOC is looking to fill a midlevel provider position for an Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position comes with a competitive salary and excellent benefits!

Education and Experience:

Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Physician's Assistant and eligible for prescriptive authority in the State of Nevada. Orthopaedic background preferred.

As a midlevel provider your duties will include:

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, and medical imaging using an EMR/EHR/EMA
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Utilize utilization management techniques to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources

Requirement:

  • 2 years+ Orthopaedic experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a physician's assistant or other medical fields
  • Must Be: Team-player, impeccably reliable, motivated, hard-working, and punctual.
  • Willing to take notes, study, and learn to treat patients with the highest level of care.
  • Able to work in a high-volume and fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and medical staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in our team, including other team midlevel providers, medical assistants, and the physician.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant software.
  • Current state licensure.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or similar.
