Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Security Specialist to support a growing client in the Raleigh-Durham, NC (RTP) area. The Security Specialist role requires you to sit onsite 5 days per week. The Security Specialist role is ideal for a security professional with experience in personnel security, clearance processing, and physical security operations within classified environments.

Responsibilities of the Security Specialist include:

  • Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) with day-to-day security operations and compliance activities.
  • Process personnel security actions, including clearance requests, visit requests, access determinations, and security record maintenance.
  • Utilize DISS to manage and track clearance statuses, personnel access, and adjudication requirements.
  • Escort contractors, visitors, and vendors within secure facilities, particularly during ongoing SCIF construction and renovation efforts.
  • Assist with physical security initiatives by monitoring access control procedures and ensuring adherence to government security requirements.

Requirements of the Security Specialist include:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience supporting personnel security programs and clearance processing activities.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing DISS for personnel security administration.
  • Knowledge of security protocols for classified environments, including visitor control and escorting procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to support multiple security priorities simultaneously.

Compensation for the Security Specialist include:

  • $80,000 - 100,000 annually
  • Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
