About the Role:

The Physical Security Specialist provides technical and physical support for high-security areas, security equipment and security systems across all Priority Technology Holdings’s U.S. office locations. This role manages access control and video systems, supports audits and vendor relationships, and partners closely with Facilities and TOC to maintain a consistent physical security posture company-wide.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain security equipment, including video surveillance systems.

  • Administer user access badge control, including provisioning, deactivation, and audit trails.

  • Manage visitor and contractor access across office locations.

  • Generate and distribute badge access reports.

  • Perform periodic access control audits and remediate findings.

  • Develop and document industry-standard physical security practices and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date security documentation and system configurations.

  • Partner with Facilities on physical security-related projects and issues.

  • Troubleshoot physical security hardware issues at HQ and remote office locations.

  • Manage relationships with physical security vendors and service providers.


What Success Looks Like:

  • System Reliability: Maintaining 99.9% uptime for all physical security systems, including video surveillance and access control.

  • Audit Compliance: Passing 100% of internal and external physical security audits with no critical findings.

  • Operational Efficiency: Reducing the time to process new access badge requests or deactivations.

  • Project Completion: Successfully partnering with Facilities to deliver security infrastructure upgrades on schedule and within budget.

  • Vendor Management: Ensuring all security vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs) and address maintenance issues within agreed-upon timelines.


Candidate Requirements:


Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining access control systems.

  • Administrator-level experience with the Avigilon Alta platform.

  • Experience with Lumina camera systems and platform.

  • Experience supporting multiple office locations.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and service agreements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.


Education

• High school diploma or equivalent req.


Preferred Requirements

  • Networking experience (e.g., IP addressing, VLANs, PoE).

  • Access control certification (e.g., ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), or vendor-specific Avigilon/Lumana certification).

  • Ability to present technical details clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable working through ambiguous situations with limited direction.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative proactively.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize the most critical tasks and projects.


Work Conditions

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support U.S. office locations.

  • This position participates in an emergency on-call rotation.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces (e.g., wiring closets) as needed for equipment installation and troubleshooting.
