Position Summary:

Cleveland Carter Enterprises, Inc. (CCE) โ€” a leading underground utilities construction company specializing in 24/7 emergency sewer and water repair โ€” is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper / Skilled Laborer to join our team in Forest Park, GA.

This position supports both shop operations and field construction activities by assisting with equipment preparation, maintenance tasks, material handling, and general labor responsibilities. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, eager to learn, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep projects running efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist with basic equipment servicing and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Support mechanics with tasks such as greasing equipment, loading and unloading parts, and organizing tools and materials.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, shop areas, and yard spaces.
  • Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are returned to designated storage locations.
  • Assist with securing and locking shop and yard equipment at the end of each workday.
  • Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools at project sites.
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools to support construction and repair crews.
  • Assist pipefitters and field personnel by providing materials, tools, and operational support.
  • Install silt fencing and perform basic landscaping or site restoration activities as needed.
  • Assist with traffic control setup and monitoring to help maintain safe work zones.
  • Support field crews with additional labor tasks as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Report equipment, tool, or job site concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and project needs.
