Job description

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for administering corporate policies across one or more departments or business units. The position interprets policies and partners with HR leaders, managers, and occasionally employees to identify root causes of HR-related issues.

The role also reports to the Sr. HRBP at our Tennessee factory and assists in executing compensation, benefits, talent management, and succession planning initiatives within the assigned client group. Responsibilities may include conducting research for employee relations matters and leading select HR projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating
  • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
  • Following up to ensure that all personnel action forms are properly and timely approved
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation for salary and hourly associates
  • Assist in the hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews
  • Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from the database
  • Provide assistance with reports: attendance, termination, new hires and requests from
  • Assist with data request from NA and Korea headquarters
  • Follow up with new hire to ensure completion of enrollment in benefits
  • Partner with supervisors to assist with staffing in production including 3rd party temp agency
  • Associate engagement
  • Miscellaneous duties as applied

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • PHR/SPHR preferred, but not necessary
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with business administration preferably in HR
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office ability (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Successful work experience as a Human Resources Specialist, office administrator or other HR position
