Job Summary:
Veracity Software Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong PHP experience. The role focuses on developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases to support business functionality and integrations with other systems.
Responsibilities:
• Designing, building, and enhancing backend services and APIs
• Working extensively with SQL databases for data processing and optimization
• Maintaining and improving application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborating with frontend and other teams to support end-to-end feature delivery
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong hands-on experience in PHP development (Laravel/Symfony preferred)
• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs
• Solid SQL/database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL)
• Experience in backend development for production applications
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
• 5+ years of experience with programming SQL for database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Postgres
• 5+ years of strong development proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS technologies
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design
• Familiarity with markup languages such as XML, JSON, YAML, and HTML
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Pester, PyUnit
• Experience with IDE's such as VS Code, IntelliJ, PyCharm, Visual Studio, etc.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with orchestration such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Experience with artifact repositories such as Artifactory
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and BigPanda
• Experience with logging tools such as Splunk

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
