What is a photography lab assistant?

Photography Lab Assistants are professionals who help with the processing, printing, and organizing of photographic images in a lab setting. They handle tasks such as developing film, editing digital images, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring the quality of finished photos. They may also assist customers, manage inventory, and support photographers and lab technicians. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with photographic processes, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a photography lab assistant?

To thrive as a Photography Lab Assistant, you need a solid understanding of photographic processes, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of photo editing and printing, often supported by a high school diploma or coursework in photography.
