Job description

Junior Photographer

WeatherTech Direct, LLC is seeking a well-qualified Junior Photographer to take photos, assist other photographers and coordinate shoots with teammates, cross-teams and outside entities as part of WeatherTech’s in-house photo studio. The primary focus of this role is on-location and studio automotive product photography for e-commerce.
Portfolios containing AI‑generated or AI‑manipulated photography will not be reviewed.


As a Junior Photographer you will

  • Photograph a wide range of subject matter for broad end uses across multiple channels in adherence to brand guidelines and photography standards.
  • Set up lighting photo shoots; making various adjustments for optimal set up before and during the photo shoots
    • Photo shoot planning and coordination:
    • Coordinating with the production manager, photo art director and product development dept.
    • Coordinating vehicles with local dealerships: browsing for vehicles online, driving to dealerships, speaking with dealership contacts, completing any necessary documentation, and as necessary, drive dealership or rental vehicles back to studio.
    • Procuring and organizing the necessary WeatherTech products to be shot on/in each vehicle.
    • Preparing necessary photography equipment that will be used on location.
  • Assist other photographers in studio and on location.
  • Partner with photographers and photo assistant to ensure the studio and its vehicles are organized, clean and maintained.
  • Keep equipment clean and organized; coordinate the replacement or repair of damaged equipment; ensure all equipment is stored and organized at the end of each day.
  • Follow company safety rules and keep designated work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial photography in a studio and on location
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience
  • 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Experienced with SLR, mirrorless, and digital medium format cameras
  • Expert knowledge of Capture One
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in studio lighting, camera gear and other grip equipment.
  • Ability to successfully self-manage as well as manage multiple projects/deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with other departments within the company
  • Excellent communication skills to receive feedback from multiple photographers and other staff members
  • Authorized to work in the United States
