Are you a marketing professional who understands how to bring thriving destinations and experiences to life? Join our tight-knit, collaborative team at RTO3–Hamilton Halton Brant and help connect visitors and tourism partners with one of Ontario’s most diverse and experience-rich regions.
Who We Are
The Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association (RTO3) is a non-profit organization funded by the Province of Ontario, focused on increasing visitation and tourism revenue in one of Ontario’s most diverse and experience-rich regions. Our destination includes Hamilton, Halton (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills), Brant (Brantford and the County of Brant), Six Nations of the Grand River, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We work closely with DMOs, Destination Ontario, tourism operators, and partners to tell the region’s story and support sustainable tourism growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, highly organized Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator to support RTO3’s consumer marketing and industry communications. You’ll maintain content calendars, coordinate information and data, adapt and publish content across digital channels, follow up with partners, and keep projects on track. A personal passion for travel and sharing stories about places and experiences will help you thrive in this role.
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually
Benefits: Competitive health and wellness package
Location: Remote; candidates should reside within, or be of driving distance of, Hamilton Halton Brant
Regional attendance: In-person meetings, training and industry events will generally be required a few times each month, with more frequent attendance during the first three months
What You’ll Do
  • Maintain & coordinated content calendars and track publishing dates, approvals, deadlines and required assets
  • Edit and proofread engaging, accurate content for both visitor and tourism-industry audiences
  • Schedule and publish content across consumer and industry social media, websites, email campaigns, e-newsletters and campaign landing pages
  • Maintain RTO3’s consumer and industry websites, including pages, campaigns, copy, images, links, events and listings
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries, including file names, image credits, permissions and usage details
  • Coordinate project information, assets, approvals and deadlines with staff, partners, agencies and contractors
  • Compile website, social media and email metrics for reports and dashboards
  • Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to support research, drafting, editing and workflow while verifying accuracy, tone and brand alignment
  • Stay current on trends and tools in content and destination marketing
What You Bring to the Role
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, content development, communications, or related coordination experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
  • A self-starting, creative mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing content across web, social, and email platforms
  • Experience managing content across multiple audiences
  • Familiarity with AI tools, CMS, email tools, and basic graphics/photo/video editing
  • Ability to track performance metrics and apply insights
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A background in tourism, destination marketing, hospitality or nonprofit work is a bonus
Hybrid note: While this role is hybrid, the successful candidate will be expected to work primarily in-person at a co-share/office location during the initial onboarding, orientation, and training period (approximately the first 3 months). Following that period, the role will transition to a more flexible hybrid model.
How to Apply
If you’re passionate about tourism, skilled at managing, researching and curating content, and ready to help showcase Hamilton Halton Brant, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your cover letter and résumé.
