Job description

The Black Diamond Creative team is a full-service in-house agency that provides design, editorial, photographic, and video content, as well as develops and maintains the visual identity of the brand. The Studio Manager will work with the business unit directors, creative team, and the DAM manager to produce and deliver all required assets for ecommerce, workbooks, and marketing materials. Responsibilities include but are not limited to building seasonal briefs, QC, coordination with business unit directors and DAM manager, sample management, budgets, and maintaining a creative contractor team. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education    

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, or digital mediaAlternative: 5 + years of relevant experience can substitute for degree requirement

Work ExperienceRequired: 2+ years in a studio production or operations rolePreferred: Studio photography and lighting proficiency. Outdoor industry experience.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
General physical requirements:  Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. Be on your feet for extended periods of time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Authorized and responsible to continuously improve upon and perform all duties according to BD Inc’s Quality, Safety and Employee Policies and procedures:1.    Produce ecommerce, glam, product video, and other brand photo shoots
2.    Manage creative contractor team for larger productions
3.    Receive and organize seasonal sales samples
4.    Cast models per brand standards
5.    Create shotlist for ecommerce shoots aligned with filenaming conventions
6.    Prep studio before each shoot 
7.    Manage asset editing, QC and background clipping
8.    Deliver assets to DAM admin
9.    Forecast and maintain studio budget 
10.    Assist in preparation for field photography shoots
What other responsibilities Studio Manager would have:

1.    Help prep product for field shoots
2.    Comprehensive maintenance of studio space and equipment
3.    Manage studio calendar
4.    Occasional in-house studio and brand event photography as needed depending on candidate
