Title:Β Field Services Tech 1 (wireless hybrid)

Location:Β Office located in New Knoxville, OH

Rate:Β $22.00/hour

Full-Time/Part Time:Β Full-Time

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Install, disconnect, connect, upgrade, downgrade, make changes, troubleshoot and repair customer provided services at residential and commercial locations.
  • Maintain wireless and phone systems by testing to locate trouble, diagnosing signal and equipment issues, and replacing or reconfiguring defective devices and components.
  • Install and maintain wireless communication networks, antennas, and radio frequency euipment
  • Installs, activates, and configures wireless devices and phone equipment, including SIM provisioning and network/service activation.
  • Educate customers in the services being provided and the proper use of equipment, propose solutions, and describes advantages of and sells additional services.
  • Maintain an appropriate and professional image of the company through appearance, demeanor, driving habits, and interactions with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid Driver's License and clean driving record is required
  • 1–2 years of wireless, phone, or other relevant technical/electronic experience.
  • Able to install, troubleshoot, and repair customer products/services using knowledge of wireless networks, phone systems, and customer equipment.
  • Ability to install and activate wireless devices, configure phone systems,
  • Program, activate, and troubleshoot wireless equipment and phone terminals, including device pairing and network activation.
  • Knowledge and experience working with electronics, DC power, and wireless/RF and telephony equipment.
  • Able to properly operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Able to work independently and plan tasks to complete projects efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills in Word and Excel.
  • Able to accurately measure distances using tapes or other measuring devices.
  • Able to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires/cables.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces including attics, crawl spaces, cabinets, utility closets, and telco rooms.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with all OSHA, FCC, NEC, and local ordinances.

Working Conditions:

  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, pulling, bending, pushing, and reaching above head.
  • Work indoors in poorly ventilated areas such as attics during extreme heat.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and insects.
  • On-call rotation every 3 weeks.
