Job description

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Provide interior and exterior cleaning services that meet company standards.
  • Wash vehicles and conduct intensive interior cleanings.
  • Perform light office cleaning duties (e.g., vacuuming, trash removal, wiping surfaces).
  • Assist with errands, such as picking up supplies and parts, or transporting items as needed.
  • Complete various odds-and-ends tasks to support the daily operations of the team.

Requirements:

  • Must be self-driven, able to stay busy, and work independently without constant supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with detailing tools, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Personal phone usage is restricted; use only in case of emergency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with oil changes, filter replacements, and basic mechanical maintenance.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to operate a floor-scrubbing Zamboni.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to operate a Bitimec Bus Washing Bot (vertical brush system).
  • Automotive detailing and dealership or fleet maintenance experience.
  • Applicants are encouraged to mention any of the preferred qualifications during their interview.

Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including floors, tools, and shop areas.
  • Operate and maintain floor-scrubbing Zamboni and Bitimec Bus Washing Bot.
  • Perform oil changes and routine mechanical services.
  • Change filters and fluids as required.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on fleet vehicles.
  • Wash vehicle exteriors and vacuum interiors.
  • Remove all trash, dirt, and debris from the vehicle's interior.
  • Organize cockpits and maintain a professional fleet presentation.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and alert supervisors of inventory needs.
  • Use protective and restorative agents to enhance vehicle appearance.
  • Move and park vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Document and report any damage to vehicle interiors or exteriors.
  • Perform light office cleaning (e.g., lobby, driver areas).
  • Run errands and perform support tasks as directed by management.
  • Carry out miscellaneous duties and odd jobs as needed.

Summary:

As a Fleet Maintenance & Detail Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining both the performance and professional appearance of our fleet and facilities. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will handle vehicle detailing, shop cleanliness, and light facility upkeep. Youll also assist with errands and day-to-day support activities to ensure smooth operations. Your mechanical knowledge, organizational skills, and attention to detail will help ensure a high-quality service experience in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. This role offers variety and the opportunity to contribute to multiple areas of our operation.
