Job description

Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) in Lincoln, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Office Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide administrative and technical support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.


Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing
  • Prepare and assist with invoicing, including editing invoices as needed
  • Perform filing and records management
  • Complete data entry tasks
  • Maintain and update organizational shared documents, calendars, and content on our internal share site
  • Manage office supply inventory, including ordering and maintaining the inventory list
  • Distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Prepare professional correspondence with community partners and staff
  • Plan and coordinate catering and preparations for board meetings and staff events
  • Coordinate staff meetings and assist with agenda preparation
  • Assist with creating and updating internal policies and procedures
  • Assist with creating and updating mailing lists and email groups
  • Assist in sending out the monthly newsletter and other marketing materials as needed
  • Provide general technical assistance and basic IT support to staff, and act as primary contact with our IT team
  • Proofread grant applications as needed
  • Review payment requests for accuracy
  • Coordinate staff birthdays and other planned events

Qualifications
  • Experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with the following preferred:
    • QuickBooks Online
    • Excel / Google Sheets
    • Google Workspace
