Job description

Buffkin/Baker has partnered with Phoebe Putney Health System, headquartered in Albany, Georgia, for a new CGO. Phoebe Putney Health System (Phoebe) is a not-for-profit healthcare delivery system serving a population of more than 800,000 residents throughout 42 counties in southwest Georgia. Phoebe has grown significantly over the last 20 years and now employs more than 5,500 people throughout the region. The system operates four hospitals totaling 1,040 beds, family medicine clinics, specialty physician offices and rehabilitation clinics with revenues approximating $800M.

The flagship hospital Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is a 691-bed teaching hospital and a regional center for cancer treatment, cardiac medicine/surgery, gastrointestinal disease, and neuroscience. The Phoebe Cancer Center is one of the busiest and most advanced in the Southeast.

 

Reporting directly to the System Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for advancing the growth, market presence, and long-term positioning of a rural healthcare system. This role partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to identify and execute opportunities that expand access to care while strengthening and extending the organization’s network across the region.
