Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour


Job Summary

The Contract Phlebotomist will perform a variety of laboratory duties, including specimen collection, specimen processing, and waived testing. This role is responsible for collecting blood specimens from newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while ensuring accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, and adherence to laboratory protocols. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with the laboratory team to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

· Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.

· Perform specimen collection for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

· Process laboratory specimens and perform waived laboratory testing.

· Accurately verify patient information and enter data into the laboratory information system.

· Label specimens immediately after collection and before the patient leaves.

· Transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments for testing.

· Follow all laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.

· Maintain compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and organizational policies.

· Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and coworkers.

· Perform additional laboratory-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required.

· Current Phlebotomy Certification required.

· Current BLS Certification required.

· Current TB test required.

· Experience with specimen processing preferred.

· Knowledge of CLIA and HIPAA regulations.

· Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
