Job description

Category Manager - Multi Channel, Philips Personal Health (Stamford, CT)

Provides category management and sales analytics expertise across the Philips Personal Health portfolio for teams working with omnichannel Canadian retailers as well as Target and Costco in the USA.

Your role:

  • Collaborate with sales team colleagues and customer partners to monitor omnichannel consumer and sales trends for the key categories within Philips Personal Health: Oral Health Care, Grooming & Beauty and Mother & Child Care.
  • Provide guidance for assortment, pricing, promotion and shelf layout and construct planograms for illustration purposes as needs require. Enrich analyses by leveraging insights from proprietary retailer data resources as opportunities arise.
  • Create working relationships with sales account managers across multiple retailers and channels. Establish rapport across Philips functional teams to build winning sales stories to drive the business.
  • Leverage AI resources and processes where applicable to maximize efficiency. Serve as an analytic thought leader for Philips and help to train colleagues to use data and tools to continuously improve business performance.
  • Build credibility in virtual and in-person presentations to colleagues and customers. Work in Stamford, CT office and be prepared for approximately 10% travel.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 5+ years of experience working with retailers, CPG manufacturers and/or consultants in category management, merchandising and data management and insights.
  • Your skills include strong familiarity with syndicated data resources (Nielsen, Circana, etc.) and data hierarchies and the ability to navigate the nuances associated with using these tools. Demonstrated ability to understand retailer specific sales tools as well as shopper and panel data and to generate insights.
  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • You are comfortable navigating between a diverse group of retailers, categories and data sources to solve problems and create winning selling stories.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This is an office role located in Stamford, CT.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in $110,000 to $174,720 in Stamford, CT.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Stamford, CT.
