Number of Beds: 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)

Patient Ratios: 1 patient to 3 staff

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Cath/EP Techs, Cath/EP RNs

Type of equipment: GE and Philips xray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo

Documentation system: Merge Hemo and Meditech

Scheduling requirements: 4 x 10 hr shifts- 6:30 a to 5 p

Floating policy: Only float to prep and recovery

Patient Experience requirements: 2 years minimum

Certifications Required: RNs- RN license, BLS, ACLS Technologists- RCIS, RCES, OR RT(R), ACLS, BLS

Procedures performed on unit:

Cath Lab- diagnostic, PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Pernumbra

EP Lab- EP studies, pacemakers, ICD, ablations (no cryo ablations), micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions to include laser lead extractions

Awards/Recognition: One of the top Cardiac programs in Tennessee; growing program offering all cardiac modalities except transplant; HCA voted Most Ethical Corporation by Ethissphere
