Typical assignments include:

  • Labor: 1:1โ€“1:2
  • Delivery: 1:1
  • Postpartum Couplet Care: Per AWHONN standards

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience
  • Previous travel experience preferred

No First-Time Travelers

Travelers float between: Labor & Delivery Recovery Postpartum Candidates must be experienced and comfortable working both areas. โœ” C-Section Circulating Required All travelers must independently circulate cesarean deliveries. โœ” High-Risk OB Experience Preferred The unit manages: High-risk pregnancies C-sections Patients 34 weeks gestation and above โœ” Family-Centered Birth Culture Birth plans are highly respected, and nurses should be comfortable supporting individualized labor preferences while maintaining patient safety. โœ” Floating First to Float Floats between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum โœ” Weekend Requirement Every Other Weekend โœ” Holiday Requirement Holiday rotation with permanent staff.
