Davidson is seeking an Algorithm Analysis Engineer in Boulder, Colorado.

As an Algorithm Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the development and analysis of specialized combat systems that are providing advanced algorithms to improve tracking, prediction, and discrimination capabilities for emerging threats worldwide. You are expected to communicate technical information effectively and clearly, and present technical approaches and findings.

Essential Functions:

  • Performance analysis of missile tracking and prediction algorithms
  • Analysis of space based sensor constellations
  • Algorithm defect tracking and resolution
  • Analysis tool development (Python & Matlab)
  • Technical presentations and analysis reports as required
  • Work in cross-discipline teams and communicate clearly across various levels of engineers.

This requisition may be filled at either a Algorithm Performance Analysis Engineer - Level 2 or a Principal Algorithm Performance Analysis Engineer - Level 3.

Job Requirements:

  • Algorithm Performance Analysis Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Principal Algorithm Performance Analysis Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD.
  • Python or Matlab experience
  • Performance analysis experience for complex, mathematically intensive systems
  • Applicants must have Linux experience and working knowledge of common utilities like grep, awk, cat head, etc.
  • Experience with data analysis - Population statistics and trend identification.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start; with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Competencies:

  • A current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Top Secret security clearance.
  • Strong statistical background and skills.
  • Strong Python skills
  • Experience in tracking and prediction algorithms, simulation, and validation.
  • Experience with missile trajectory analysis
  • Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Electro-Optical Infrared (EOIR) sensors and simulations is a plus.

Clearance:

  • Must have a DoD Secret Clearance or higher (willing to obtain TS)
