Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional to support aircraft modification and production operations by ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company requirements. This role will serve as the primary EHS focal for aircraft programs, driving risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure company and OSHA compliance.
- Support production operations through identification and mitigation of risks throughout aircraft modification schedules.
- Serve as the primary EHS focal point for assigned aircraft programs.
- Collaborate with EHS personnel to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Interface with multiple organizations and departments across the site.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and health training programs.
- Maintain and manage EHS recordkeeping and reporting systems.
- Prepare reports, technical analyses, and presentations for operations and leadership teams.
- Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
- Evaluate emerging regulations and legislation and assess impacts to operations.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans in response to internal and external audits and inspections.
- Work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Manage assigned occupational safety programs and projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and workplace safety controls.
- Excellent communication, training, documentation, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- 3+ years of industrial safety experience.
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into procedures or work instructions.
- Experience supporting multiple programs and locations.
- Experience with aircraft operations.
- Prior aerospace or MRO environment experience.
- Strong project management skills.
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD + 4 years' related work experience, Master + 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
