The Player Development Manager - VIP Sports is responsible for driving the growth, engagement, and lifetime value of high value and VIP players across BetMGM platforms. This role focuses on acquiring, developing, and retaining VIP players by delivering exceptional, personalized experiences that strengthen long-term relationships and maximize retention and revenue.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in VIP player engagement, acquisition strategies, CRM driven marketing, and data informed decision-making within online and retail sports betting. This role operates independently, managing player relationships, reinvestment strategies, and performance reporting while ensuring full compliance with internal policies and responsible gaming standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract, convert, and retain high value and VIP players across digital channels, partnerships, affiliates, and experiential programs.
  • Build and maintain high touch VIP relationships that enhance engagement, loyalty, and long-term player value.
  • Analyze player behavior, segmentation, and performance data to identify growth opportunities and optimize player development strategies.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, CRM, Product, Payments, Compliance, and Hotel Brand Partners to deliver integrated and compliant initiatives.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize VIP promotions, loyalty programs, campaigns, tournaments, events, and exclusive experiences.
  • Execute regional bonus and reinvestment strategies that are aligned with the internal guidelines and the VIP Program objectives.
  • Partner with external agencies and vendors to support creative development, collateral production, and promotional initiatives.
  • Contribute to content strategies across social, web, email, and e-commerce platforms, tracking success through clearly defined KPIs.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics including VIP acquisition, retention, revenue contribution, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and responsible gaming policies.
  • Oversee the execution and ongoing enhancement of the VIP loyalty program, including rewards, bonuses, tournaments, events, and exclusive player experiences.
  • Manage multiple time sensitive initiatives in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Identify operational gaps and process improvement opportunities and support solution implementation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive customer and business information.
  • Travel as required to support VIP engagement initiatives and business objectives.
  • Uphold company standards related to professionalism, safety, appearance, and conduct.
  • Candidate must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications
  • Hospitality driven professional with a strong customer first mindset
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience; hospitality industry experience required
  • Experience in casino marketing or player hosting preferred, gaming industry experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of sports betting required
  • Deep understanding of VIP player behavior and high-value customer engagement
  • Proven ability to develop and optimize player development and retention strategies
  • Sales oriented with strong instincts for identifying customer triggers and revenue opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills and experience producing performance and operational reports
  • Highly organized with a strong understanding of planning, creative, and production workflows
  • Detail oriented with the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
