Job description

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027.

This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time.

Position Summary:

The UNC School of Nursing invites applications for part-time faculty to teach on-campus or online in our undergraduate programs. These positions are filled semester by semester based on the needs of the programs. The positions are highly flexible, depending on the interest and experience of the applicant and may support either clinical or theoretical curricula for the undergraduate programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Two years clinical experience in nursing
  • Current, unencumbered CO RN/APRN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree in Nursing

About the Department:

The School of Nursing offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our undergraduate programs include a traditional and second bachelor's BSN program and a fully online RN-BSN completion program. At the graduate level, we offer a fully online master's degree in leadership, quality and safety and advanced practice clinical programs including a doctorate in nursing practice (FNP and post-Master's APRN options). We also offer post-master's certificates in nursing education, family nurse practitioner, and emergency nurse practitioner. Our unique PhD in nursing education rounds out our portfolio of programs with a focus on the science of nursing and teaching practices.
