Job description

Infectious Disease Physician

Client is seeking a permanent Infectious Disease Physician or primary care physician with HIV experience and AAHIV certification to join its Baltimore-based clinical team. This role is focused on delivering comprehensive HIV care and infectious disease management within a mission-driven, community health organization. The physician will serve as a clinical leader in HIV care, providing guidance on treatment protocols, staying current with evolving infectious disease guidelines, and ensuring best practices are implemented across clinical teams. Responsibilities include direct patient care, collaboration with pharmacy and clinical staff, participation in internal committees, and representation of the organization within the broader medical and patient community. This role requires strong clinical expertise in HIV medicine, the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, and a commitment to serving diverse patient populations. Candidates must be board-certified (or eligible) in Infectious Disease or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with relevant HIV experience, hold a valid Maryland medical license and DEA registration, and have at least three years of experience managing HIV/AIDS patients. AAHIV certification is preferred. This is a permanent position only; the client has explicitly declined locum tenens coverage and is seeking long-term candidates.
