Job description

Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity

Excellent locum opportunity for an Infectious Disease physician to provide inpatient hospital coverage in Pueblo, CO. This role offers a consistent schedule with opportunities for extended call coverage.

Inpatient-only practice (hospital-based)

Schedule: Mon–Sun, 8a–5p

Call: Possibility of after-hours call (up to 24 hours)

Caseload: 100% Adult

20 consults/day on average per physician

Solo physician practice – no mid-levels

Lab onsite

EMR: Epic

Hospital beds: 300

Inpatient – Infectious Disease

Inpatient – Internal Medicine

Microscopic specimen evaluation

Central line placement & management of vascular access devices/IV medications

Intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents

Diagnostic/therapeutic taps (abscess aspiration, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis)

Liver biopsy

Board Certified in Infectious Disease – Required

Active CO License or IMLC LOQ – Required

BLS & ACLS – Required

Daytime: Mon–Sun, 8a–5p

Call: After-hours, up to 24-hour coverage as needed
